The Tijuana - Rosarito corridor, known as an area in transition composed primarily of massive residential complexes, mom & pop stores, and commercial establishments for journeymen. After we considered the lack of development options, the high demand for community interaction for both goods and services, and the socio-economic factors of the area, we created a mall that was accessible for the people inhabiting the surrounding space.
The main goal was to explore and build with a sense of community through the space, while being mindful of how the families that live in the area go about their lives. The design features 27 commercial spaces, a common area, and plenty of parking.
